Region of origin:
Originating in the Holy town of Boujad, these rugs, woven by diverse tribes, exhibit a wide spectrum of color, composition, and weave. Described as surreal, mystic, and mesmerizing, Boujad rugs transport us to a world beyond reality. Their construction, with twice as many horizontal as vertical knots, renders them floppy and easy to move.

Material details:
Wool, a sacred material for the Amazigh (Berber) people, forms the cornerstone of Moroccan rug design. Durable, long-lasting, and soft underfoot, wool is both functional and comfortable. In this piece, the wool pile is expertly knotted onto a wool foundation, adding substance and allowing it to gracefully embrace the floor.
